Bro. Samuel Cheatam - Troubles Of The World

Samuel Cheatam's "Troubles Of The World" is heavily influenced by O.V. Wright's "I'm coming home to live with God" (Back Beat 631).  Samuel Cheatam, or Sammie Cheatam as his name is on his other recordings, made one album for One Way and one for Gladys somewhere in the mid- to late seventies.
Titles of these albums are: "Stranger In The City" (One Way LP 001), "Midnight Ship To Zion" (Gladys LP no issue number known).
The flip side of the Cora 45 is titled "Candidate For Heaven".  So far I haven't found any other recordings on Cora.

VERY nice, Cies. I had not heard this one. If anyone has Sammie Cheatam's Gladys album I'd love to hear a review. His One-Way album is very nice, more modern, 70's sounding than this track.

    John,

I've just found the Gladys album at Gemm.com. A bit expensive but I've bought it. As soon as it arrives I will put up a review at the blog.

I a manager of an upcoming, anointed Gospel singer who would like to record "Candidate For Heaven" by Bro. Samuel Cheatam relesed by One Way(P 1976). Is it still under copyright or ny other restrictions? If so,how do I get permission to record it? Thanks!
