The Gospel Discography
Bob McGrath and his team at Eyeball Productions did it again. After the four volumes of the second editon of the R&B Indies, Cedric Hayes & Bob Laughton have recently come up with the second edition of The Gospel Discography 1943-1970. It's an excellent source of information for everyone who wants to know more about well known and obscure gospel artists in the Golden Age of Gospel Music. I understand the decision of the authors and publisher not to include the seventies as well, because the seventies are by many gospel afficionados considered as less interesting. However if there comes a third edition of The Gospel Discography I hope it will cover the seventies as well, because in my opinion seventies gospel music is as interesting if not even more interesting than the gospel music of the previous decades.
