The Speight Sisters - By His Love Possessed

The Speight Sisters are best known (if known at all by the greater public) for their gospel version of Bill Withers' - Lean On Me as Lean On Him. You can find Lean On Him at The Soul of Gospel, The Gospel of Soul. "By His Love Possessed" is taken from their only album "In The Garden" (HSE LP 1512). The album was recorded at the Champ record studios by Champ owner Jim Staton, but released at his next door neighbour's, Hoyt Sullivan, HSE label.
Lead singer on "By His Love Possessed" is Cynthia Farmer. Other members of the Speight Sisters are: Joyce Farmer, Roni Quarles, Annie Speight, Bertha Speight, and pianist Cority Quarles.
