Gospel Hi-Lites - The Sinful World We Live In

Milbert "Doc" McKenzie was born and raised in Olanta, South Carolina. In 1965 he formed the first version of the Gospel Hi-Lites. In the late sixties McKenzie relocated to New Jersey where he and his broters (re-)formed the Gospel Hi-Lites (or Gospel Highlights as they were sometimes named). They made their record debut at Golgotha before moving to Hi-Way, Checker and Fine. In 1974 they made one 45 for Glori. After their short stint at Glori they moved on to Inspirational Sounds, Savoy (2 albums) and one album for Meltone in the late eighties.
