Gospel Commanders of Elberton- If Loving God Is Wrong

Gospel Commanders - If Loving God Is Wrong

A couple of days ago I uploaded the Su-Ann album discography that was made by John Glassburner and Howard Robinson.
Su-Ann was one of the labels owned by Hoyt Sullivan. The Gospel Commanders of Elberton, Georgia recorded for Hoyt Sullivan one album, "On My Journey Now" (Su-Ann SA-1773) and two 45s, one on HSE and one on Su-Ann. I don't know if The Gospel Commanders who recorded the HOB 45: I Can Tell The World/Walk Right Feel Right (HOB 1388) are the Commanders of Elberton, Georgia or a different group. The gentlemen from Elberton recorded one more album, the 1982 released "Since I Found Jesus" (AIR LP 10053).
"If Loving God Is Wrong" is a beautiful gospelised version of Luther Ingram's soul classic "If Loving You Is Wrong". Julius Cheek's version of  "If Loving God Is Wrong" can be found at The Soul of Gospel, The Gospel of Soul.
