Sensational Prodigal Sons - This May Be The Last Time

The Sensational Prodigal Sons of Washington DC made their recording debut in the late sixties for Pinewood with one 45. This 45 was picked up by Richburg and re-released as Richburg 121: Tesitmony/Any How. Around the same time when recording for Pinewood and Richburg they also recorded one 45 for Dayco (It's a blessing/I found the Lord: Dayco 1004).
For Richburg the (Sensational) Prodigal Sons recorded three albums and three 45s, all worth checking out. "This May Be The Last Time" was popularised in a version by the British R&B cover band the Rolling Stones, although their version is closer to the one made by the Staple Singers. Lead singer on "This May Be The Last Time" is Johnnie Holmes. The song is taken from their album "Any How"(Richburg LP 0128).
