Rev Julius Cheeks - Fly Away
Rev. Julius Cheeks - Fly Away

After a long career as leader of first the Sensational Nightingales and later the Sensational Knights in the 1970s Rev. Julius Cheeks started to slow down in order to keep what was left of his voice. And what a voice he had!!!
Somewhere in the mid to late seventies Cheeks recorded one album for Hoyt Sullivan's Su-Ann label. I don't have any idea why and how such a well-known and (inter-)national artist ended up at a company that was 'specialised' in regional artists. "Fly Away" is taken from the album "One Of These Days We'll All Be Home" (Su-Ann LP 1754).
