Mighty Mellotones - Sweet I Know (live)

Mighty Mellotones - Sweet I Know (live)

In his reaction on Ray Jackson - We've Got To Move On John Glassburner wrote "I do love those gritty live performances". He loves them so much that he has sent me a few of his personal favourite live gospel recordings to share with you. Just listen to the opening seconds of "Sweet I Know" when the church lady is "commenting" on the whole proceedings and you feel what the difference is betwee a live recording and a studio one.
This is our second visit to the Mighty Mellotones. In a previous entry we listened to one of their studio recordings. Today we have a 'live' track.  "Sweet I Know" is from their JAS album "No Man Greater Than God". This recording is from the late sixties/early seventies. At the time of the recording only a few of the original members were still in the group.

Mighty Mello Tones sound great. I enjoy live recordings, and this one hits the spot. I love the audience comments, and the musical instruments as well. Nice job!

    Happy Holidays.

    Thanks a bunch.
