Amazing Manning Brothers - Walk Around Heaven (live)

Amazing Manning Brothers - Walk Around Heaven

Today we have another 'live' pick from the collection of John Glassburner. It was part of John's Daily Gospel Picks for the Southern Soul list. This is what John wrote about it back on Juny 26, 2007.:

Today we'll hear the Amazing Manning Brothers' WALK AROUND HEAVEN. This group was formed in 1979, featuring John, Ronald, Joshua, and Willie Manning and three other vocalists/musicians. Their mailing address
listed on the record is Seattle, Washington! The lead vocalist here is Ronald Manning, who's quavering, ear popping falsetto is reminiscent of the great Paul Beasley of the Gospel Keynotes. This is a live performance and intensity is heightened by the crowd's reaction.
This track is from the group's album TRYING TO GET TO HEAVEN on MMProductions, clearly a private pressing. I'm not aware of other recordings by this group.

All I can add is that the Amazing Manning Brothers aren't related to the Manning Family who recorded for Memorial and Su-Ann. Nor are they related to the Ray Manning Singers who recorded for Glori and Savoy
