Reliable True Tones - Right Time

Reliable True Tones - Right Time

I've finally uploaded the Designer Discography. This is my way of celebrating the first anniversary of the Just Moving On website and blog. Designer had probably the largest catalogue of gospel 45s in the 1970s. Most of their artists remain unknown and totally obscure, besides for their family members, neighbours and fellow church-goers. One of those unknown groups are the Reliable True Tones of Chicago Illinois. I have no indication whatsoever that they recorded under one of the other True Tone moninkers used by groups on Pitch, Southern Breeze, Wajji, Miracle or Shurfine. "Right Time/As Long As I Got Jesus (Designer 7051) is the only record they ever made. But what a beauty "Right Time" is.

    Cies,
Congrats on your one year anniversary. It's truly amazing what you've managed to accomplish in twelve short months. Believe me, all your hard work is greatly appreciated.
And speaking of hard work, it's wonderful that you've taken the time to post the Designer discography. It's great that the work of a relatively small group of record collectors and gospel aficionados over several years is now accessible to all. Thanks!
