Ann Williams - You Been Good To Me

Ann Williams - You Been Good To Me

It has been a couple months since our previous visit to one of Hoyt Sullivan's productions. Ann Williams and the Williams Ensemble have only made one record (as far as I know). Or did they make more records? There were other "Williams" related recordings on Su-Ann by the J.D. Williams Singers (Su-Ann 755 & 770). There were also the Williams Sisters on HSE and Jewel who recorded around the same time as Ann Williams & the Williams Ensemble. We'll probably never know whether there is any connection between all those "Williams" or not.
"You Been Good To Me" is a typical seventies DIY gospel production as where the most issued on Su-Ann.

    Cies,
This is an excellent track. It also appeared on the group's album YOU'VE BEEN GOOD TO ME (HSE-1484), which is well worth keeping an eye out for.
    Keep up the great work!

    John,
Thanks for mentioning their album. I missed it when doing my bit of research. Does the album cover give any clues if they were anyway related to the other "Williams" groups who recorded around the same time?
