Consolers - May The Work I've Done Speak For Me
Consolers - May The Work I've Done Speak For Me
The Consolers were one of the first artists to join Nashboro and one of the few ones left at the end when AVI took over Nashboro. AVI tried to make the best of the Nashboro catalogue by re-issueing a lot of previous available material. AVI also released several live-albums on their leading artists, including The Consolers. Husband and wife duo Sullivan and Iola Pugh remained throughout their career close to their original rural bluesy style. "May The Work I've Done Speak For Me" is taken from the album "Live" (AVI LP 50003). The album was released in 1980, unfortunately no date is given when the recordings were made. The album was later re-issued as AVI LP 8419 with the same title.
Where can I download the Consolers recording of "May the work I've done Speak for Me". I sing with The PHATT Boys of Alabama and we'd like to cover this great song. (PHATT stands for Praising Him All The Time). Thank you in advance for your help. JB Comer
