I love family groups. I think we should do a JustMovingOn compilation of family gospel groups. My nominations would include; The Amazing Farmer Family, The Hopson (Hobson) Family, Bishop Manning and the Manning Family, and The Traveling Echoes. Others?

    John,
I've thought about it as well. With so many of  the gospel groups being family related it's almost impossible to do. In the last couple of days I've only chosen music by family groups and I can continue this for weeks to come. Your suggestions are all excellent choices. Here are a few more personal favourites who spring immediatley to my mind: Gerald Sisters, Consolers, Shaw Singers, Staple Singers, Speight Sisters, (Sensational ) White Family Singers, Bill Moss & Celestials.
There are a lot more of them, and I hope there will be more people coming forward with their favourite family gospel groups.

How about the Fantastic Familyaires? What about the Williams Bros., the Williams Family, The Williams Singers, the Original Williams Bros., or the Williams Bros form Sanford, NC. What about the Jackson Southernaires, the Canton Spirituals (when Pop was alive) the Weeks Sisters, the Fleming Sisters, or the Mcdonald Sisters? What about Freddie Branch and the Singing Stars (they are all brothers, sons, and cousins) How about the Pilgrim Jubilees (Clay and Cleeve are brothers) How about the O'neal twins? How about the Sensational Brown Brothers? or the Brown Sisters or the Brown Family? How about the Related Six? the Loving Sisters also come to mind. I could go on, and I'd love to spend the day pondering family gospel groups, but someone around here has to get to work and buy the bacon and biscuits!!
