Sensational Williams Brothers - Jesus Done Blew Me Away
Sensational Williams Brothers - Jesus Done Blew Me Away

The other day I've uploaded the SongBird discography to the website. As a kind of celebration of this achievement I've reactived all of the SongBird related entries.
The Sensational Williams Brothers recorded three albums for SongBird, one of them shared with their father's group The Jackson Southernaires. The proud fathers are Huey and Frank Williams. "Jesus Done Blew My Mind" is taken from their album "Holding On" which was released in 1974. After SongBird they made a short stop at Nashboro for 1 album, before they released 4 albums on Savoy in the late seventies. In the eighties they had apparantely lost some of their Sensational qualities, as they released about five albums for Malaco as the Williams Brothers. Other releases in the eighties for Myrrh/Rejoice, Melendo and Black Berry were all under the name The Williams Brothers.
Very glad you've posted a Williams Brothers discography. I'm a big fan of their early recordings; Songbird, Nashboro and Savoy. After that I lose interest.
Sorting out the different Williams and William Brothers would be another sleuthing project for you Cies. I know there was a Williams Brothers group who recorded an album on Ark, a Williams Brothers of Philadelphia who recorded a very nice album on Kayden, and a William Brothers who recorded for J&B.

Back then, the Williams Brothers were blowing us away. Great choice of song.
