Christian All Stars - Make Old Death Behave

Christian All Stars - Make Old Death Behave

The Christian All Stars of Akran, Ohio recorded one 45 for Designer in 1973, and one album for J&E in 1980. "Make Old Death Behave" is taken from the album "That's The Way" (J&E LP 5006). Membership of the group at the time: James Ingram (lead), Robert Robertson (2nd tenor), Carl W. Moss (falsetto & bass guitar), Everett Robinson (baritone), Rev. Henry Edwards (lead), Willie Anderson (lead), Mark Combs (lead guitarist), Russell Smith (rhythm guitarist), Eugene Matthews (percussionist), Linda J. Cabiness (keyboard).
"Make Old Death Behave" was mailed to me by John Glassburner and this is what he had to say: "Every so often you'll hear a gospel piece for the first time that will make your hair stand up. So this morning I'm listening to an album by the Christian All Stars of Akron, Ohio. The first track on side two is "Make Old Death Behave". THIS is the very definiton of 70's soul gospel."
The only thing I can add to what John wrote is the question: What songs are to you the very definition of 70's soul gospel????
