Sensational Traveling Stars - Since I Made A Change

Sensational Traveling Stars - Since I Made A Change

This one is not as obscure as the other 45s we've been listening to in the last 2 weeks. At least there is a (incomplete) Merton discography in the R&B Indies. There were about 8 45s released on Merton and its subsidiary Hands. The Merton label was based in Prairie, Miss and operated in the first half of the 1970s. When we get a completer Merton discography I will upload it to the website. All additions are welcome!!
The Sensational Traveling Stars released one 45 on Merton. I'm not sure if they are the same group who recorded one album on Sur-Speed. For the Sur-Speed Sensational Traveling Stars, check what John Glassburner wrote about them at the Southern Soul list.
The sound quality of "Since I Made A Change" isn't really good.

Yes, they are the same group. Led by Willie Gunn. I own the Sur-Speed catalog and was unaware of their LP for the label. The master tapes just list "Willie Gunn". Any info would be much appreciated (track list, cover scan, etc.). This is the only known LP for the label. Thanks....Fred James/Bluesland Productions
