Pilgrim Wonders - The Blood (part 2)

Pilgrim Wonders - The Blood (part 2)

The Pilgrim Wonders from Toledo, Ohio made their recording debut in 1968 on Revival out of Ecorse, Michigan. Check the recently released Downriver Revival CD for the full history of the Revival label. After this 1968 release there is a gap of more than ten years in their discography, as their next release that I'm aware of is the album "He Changed My Life" on HSE. After HSE they moved to Church-Door out of Atlanta, Georgia for at least two albums in the early to mid 1980s. They also had one album released on the Church-Door subsidiary Shur Fine. From the late 1980s onwards they released two more albums on their own Versa label.
"The Blood (part 2)" is taken from their Church-Door album "The Time Is Now" which was released in 1983. At the time of recording this album the personnel of the group was: Tom Noble, Calvin April, James Foster, William Dean, Buck Noble (lead & rhythm guitars), Arthur Kemp (bass guitar), Myron Noble (drums & percussion).

Hey Hey.. Good to see these guys faces again. The Fabulous Golden Wings Considered these guys Brothers, as we shared many a program with them. We would sometimes play and sing with each other in our groups. Auther Kemp became our bass player and an intergral part of both of our groups. As well as others not shown above. Them was "Good Days"

Thanks for another fine posting, Cies.

By the way - the Pilgrim Wonders recorded before Revival in 1968: they made an excellent 45 on the New Song label from Toledo in 1960. I believe the group is still going - SisDetroit introduced me to member Johnny Harris in Detroit a couple of years ago.
