Flying Clouds of Augusta, GA - Don't Let The Devil Ride

Flying Clouds of Augusta - Don't Let The Devil Ride

What better way to start a new year than buying the only CD set you'll probably need in 2010. The people at Big Legal Mess Records have done it again. After their reissues on glorious vinyl of some of the albums from the Designer catalogue, they have now come up with something even better. The Pitch-Gusman Record Story triple CD set is their latest gospel release. With 71 songs it covers almost everything there was ever released on both Pitch and Gusman. It's not just the music, but there is also a large booklet
that will tell you everything there is to be known about Pitch, Gusman, its owner Waymon Jones and the artists who recorded for him.
Over the years we've written several Pitch-Gusman blog entries about Pitch-Gusman artists. So, people who are visiting this blog for several years, know what they will get when they buy this triple CD set. For those who aren't visiting this blog so long, there are a few soundclips at the Big Legal Mess website. And we have "Don't Let The Devil Ride" (Pitch 162) by the Flying Clouds of Augusta, Georgia.

I got this two days ago. I haven't had the time to listen to it yet, but the booklet itself is fascinating. I believe Designer will be the next label to have an anthology on Big Legal Mess, I am very much looking forward to that !
